Growing up with a father in the military, Laura has traveled the world since she was very young. During her childhood, some of her favorite memories were of their travels to Disney locations, including listening to the Country Bears sing in Japanese at Tokyo Disney and dancing with Minnie in a parade on Main Street USA in Walt Disney World. One of her very favorite memories was seeing Cinderella’s Castle transformed into a cake during Walt Disney World’s 25th anniversary.
Her love of travel continued into college, where she studied abroad in Europe. Also during college, Laura took a class on Harry Potter (yes it was a real class!) and was so excited to visit Universal Studios when Hogsmeade first opened in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Laura met her husband, who shares a love of Pixar movies, in college as well. Their first dance at their wedding was to Louis Armstrong’s “La Vie en Rose” as a reference to their favorite movie, Wall-e.
After college, Laura began a career in the banking industry where she stayed until her second son was born. During these years, Laura planned many family vacations with extended family, including trips to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. It was the treasured memory of her 25th anniversary trip that inspired a trip to Walt Disney World during its 50th anniversary, which was made more special by the fact that her husband and children were there with her parents and sister’s family.
Laura lives in Apex, North Carolina with her husband and two sons (ages 9 and 6). She wants to extend her love of travel and her passion for planning to help more people and families make their dreams come true!
