Calling all royalty enthusiasts and fairy tale lovers! World Princess Week is here and what better way to honor this magical occasion than by immersing yourself in the enchanting world of Disney. At Castle Coaches Travel, we believe in making dreams come true, and there is no better place to do so than at a Disney destination.

In this blog post, we'll unveil our top five ways to celebrate World Princess Week in style at a Disney destination, ensuring an unforgettable and royal experience for you and your loved ones.

World Princess Week: What Is It and Where to Celebrate

First things first, what exactly is World Princess Week? World Princess Week is a globally celebrated event that takes place every August (World Princess Week 2023 runs from August 20 to 26), dedicated to honoring the courage, kindness, and independence embodied by Disney's beloved princess characters. It's a time to embrace the magic of these iconic characters and their timeless stories that continue to inspire people of all ages. While World Princess Week is celebrated around the world, there's no better place to immerse yourself in the princess magic than at Disney destinations. Whether you choose to visit the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, Disneyland® Resort in California, or even set sail on a Disney Cruise Line adventure, the options for enchantment are endless.

1. Meet & Greets with Princesses:

Prepare to be starstruck as you come face-to-face with your favorite Disney princesses. From Cinderella's sparkling gown to Ariel's mermaid tail, these meet-and-greet experiences allow you to interact, take photos, and make cherished memories with the princesses who have captured your heart.

Meeting the Disney Princesses are easily some of the most popular and memorable character interactions, because of this, they can take a decent chunk of time out of your day. However, for wannabe royalty, we think it’s definitely time well spent.

For the most part, the Disney Princesses aren’t out and about greeting guests constantly throughout the day. They need their beauty rest, after all. The easiest way to check which princesses are holding court each day is by looking at either the My Disney Experience app for Disney World or the Disneyland app. Here you can see a list of all the princesses currently making an appearance, as well as where you will find them with times, if applicable. There are some character locations where princesses make appearances basically all day long, others for set times in the day. At Disneyland® Resort, you will find many characters don't have set times or locations and just wander around, which we find extra magical as you never know who will pop up. There are many spot you can save meet Princesses during a meal, but we will touch on this later.

5. Dining Locations with Princess Characters:

Savor delectable cuisine in the company of Disney princesses at special dining locations. Whether it's an enchanting breakfast, a royal lunch, or a regal dinner, you can dine like royalty and share memorable moments with your favorite princess characters. Imagine this: you're enjoying a delectable meal, and suddenly, your favorite Disney princess walks up to your table, ready to engage in conversation, pose for photos, and create unforgettable memories. Character dining allows you to savor every bite of your meal while seamlessly transitioning into magical interactions with iconic characters. No need to queue up for meet-and-greets separately – it's all seamlessly integrated into your dining experience. On top of that, the restaurant may even immerse you in the princesses’ stories with a highly themed dining room, making your meal even more enchanting.

Character dining experiences can happen differently from resort to resort and even restaurant to restaurant. At Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, princesses typically come straight to your table allowing some one-on-one time with you and the rest of your party. However, at the Disneyland® Resort in California, the one and only princess meal, you will generally need to go to them. Either way, we think Disney Princess dining is a fun (and delicious) way to celebrate World Princess Week. Keep in mind that dining is subject to availability and can be booked starting 60 days before arrival for length of stay at Disney World and starting 60 days from a specific date at Disneyland. Characters can always change as well. For extra magic, be sure and pack those prince and princess dresses to wear!
